Iene Miene Mutte and Tien Pond Grutten

In 2021, we had the pleasure of welcoming Iene Miene Mutte and Tien Pond Grutten into the family of Kindercentrum vzw. The day-to-day management is in the hands of team coach Lisa Mulier.

Operation

Starting July 1, we will implement a name change. The familiar locations Iene Miene Mutte and Tien Pond Grutten will then fall under one unified and recognizable name: Iene Miene Mutte (specifically Iene Miene Mutte 1 and Iene Miene Mutte 2). This new name reflects the fresh energy within our organization and aligns nicely with the opening of our brand-new childcare location Iene Miene Mutte 3, planned for September 1, 2025, just across the street at Hille 1A.

The building at Varentakker 1 and 3 houses two separate groups: Iene Miene Mutte 1 and Iene Miene Mutte 2 (formerly Tien Pond Grutten). At the address Hille 1A, a new living group will start from July 1.

At Iene Miene Mutte 1, there is one mixed-age (vertical) group with 14 children. Iene Miene Mutte 2 (Tien Pond Grutten) also hosts one vertical group, accommodating up to 14 children. The third group, Iene Miene Mutte 3, will also have room for 14 children. In total, we can welcome 42 children across all groups.

All our groups work within a vertical system, where we pay close attention to the individual needs of each child. We provide plenty of space and a calm environment to explore the world and absorb their first impressions.

Our day always begins with a cozy circle time, where we use hand puppets, songs, and stories to start the day together. This is a lovely moment to greet one another and begin the day with connection. We offer a wide range of toys and play corners, encouraging children to explore freely and develop their own play. In addition, we have a wonderful outdoor playground where we love to spend time when the weather is nice. Here, the children can let loose and enjoy the fresh air.
