Business Development Advisor
Shape the growth of a leading Belgian law firm
As a Business Development (BD) Advisor at Liedekerke, you play a key role in driving the firm’s growth. You work closely with partners and lawyers on high-profile mandates, strategic client development and market positioning. You are not just supporting; you are advising, challenging and helping to win work.
Your role
Working in close collaboration with the other members of the Business Development team, you will play an active role in implementing the firm’s strategic business development initiatives across the Belgian offices (Brussels and Antwerp), as well as the firm’s offices in Africa (Kinshasa and Kigali) and in London.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Lead the preparation of winning proposals (RFPs, panel pitches, tenders)
- Define pitch strategies together with partners and senior stakeholders
- Coordinate the full pitch process from kick-off to submission
- Gather and analyse client feedback to continuously improve our approach
- Maintain and optimise BD databases and CRM tools
- Support lawyers in using these tools effectively
- Coordinate submissions for legal directories and industry awards
- Highlight the firm’s strengths in close collaboration with lawyers
- Support key client programmes, with a focus on cross-selling and retention
- Contribute to sector initiatives and strategic BD campaigns
- Conduct market, client and sector research
- Translate insights into concrete business opportunities
- Work closely with Marketing, Communications and Events to ensure a consistent approach
Your team
You will join a collaborative Marketing & Business Development (MBD) team of seven, composed of three Marketing colleagues, three Business Development professionals and one team assistant. The team works closely with partners and lawyers across the firm and plays a key role in driving strategic initiatives and client development.
Your profile
- 5+ years’ experience in business development, marketing or commercial project management in a B2B environment, ideally within legal or professional services
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in law, business, economics or similar
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch, French and English with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
- Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Analytical and strategic mindset, combined with a hands-on approach
- Proactive, service-oriented and commercially driven
- A collaborative team player who builds strong relationships across teams

- A gross salary in the range of €4,200 to €5,800, depending on your experience and background
