Your tasks
- Record purchase and sales invoices and monitor approval flows.
- Maintain supplier contacts and ensure correct processing of purchase invoices.
- Assist with VAT returns and periodic closings.
- Support monthly closings: postings, reconciliations, balance sheet alignment, and VAT checks.
- Prepare interim and annual audits and provide required documentation.
- Act as backup during colleagues’ absence.
- Contribute to financial improvement projects, from process optimization to ad-hoc tasks.
- Report directly to the senior accountant.
Your magic skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and processes.
- Basic understanding of fiscal and legal obligations (VAT).
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with MS Excel (preferably advanced level).
- Fluent in Dutch and basic English skills.
- A team player who works independently and takes initiative.
- Logical thinker with a solution-oriented mindset and a drive for efficiency.
- Curious and eager to learn and grow within the field.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively and report findings clearly.
