Het Vlasbloempje has long been a familiar name in Beveren-Leie. We provide care for 75 children aged 0–3 years. The daycare is housed in a modern, light-filled building with a pleasant outdoor play area and is located right next to the Primary School. Daily management of this daycare is in the hands of team coaches Femke Galle and Jasmien Van Weyenbergh.

Operations

At Het Vlasbloempje, there are 5 different groups, each with 15 children. Our groups are called the Bengels, Elfjes, Filoetjes, Pernukkels, and Sloebers.

We work with vertical groups in our daycare, as this creates a warm, family-like atmosphere where children of different ages learn from and support each other. Younger children look up to the older ones and develop new skills, while older children take on responsibility and strengthen their social abilities. This fosters natural and dynamic growth, similar to a family setting, where each child can develop at their own pace.

What we value

Het Vlasbloempje is a shoe-free daycare, where children play barefoot. Outdoor play is very important to us.

Our daycare has spacious outdoor terraces and a garden, giving children the opportunity to discover, play, and move freely outside in a safe and stimulating environment.
